ASR is very proud and dedicated to its innovative immersion program. This program is designed for the rider seeking specific skill development on a school master, or a chance to feel and learn the advanced work so they can transfer their new understanding to their own younger horse. This is a chance for riders to learn from and be coached by our director and head trainers, working to reach goals and have a fundamental better understanding of the classical work and how to apply it.
This program is like nothing else available in the states! This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in improving, training level to Grand Prix, first year learning dressage or 50th. Come and learn in an environment with the total focus on your education and experience.
This program is also advised to our trainers the work with us remotely, looking to prepare for their certification or those ready to add a star to their all ready held certification. It is a great opportunity to see where the strength and weaknesses are. Each rider will come away with homework and a clear plan to move forward in the training, skill and reach new levels of work. Often there will be a clear timeline for certification after an initial immersion session.
The immersion program is a 5 day intensive that includes, a school master in which to take lessons, with one of our head trainers or the director when available. These horses are matched with the rider skill, goals and temperament as to allow for the best learning opportunity. Also, 3 fresh healthy meals a day and housing, transport to and from the airport is included in the immersion.
Each day we incorporate riders goals and skill work into the mounted lessons as well as, encouraging the participants to get to know and watch the lessons of other immersion students. There is so much to be learned by watching. All training sessions by all ASR trainers are open for viewing and we all encourage lots of questions.
The evening hours are spent with a good meal, good company and some fine wine and beer. When available an outing to the horse show under the lights or some shopping at vendors row is always a great experience!
After the morning lessons our intensive students have a wide variety of activities should they choose to leave the stable for the afternoon, before the company and dinner call them back. Both our winter and summer locations offer golf to kayaking to fly fishing; from lake and ocean swimming to massage and day spa amenities. If they feel like working up a sweat; TRX, spin, Crossfit, pilates or yoga sessions are available. Want more?
There’s an archery range and shooting range, a botanical Garden, art museums and historical sites all near by and your transportation will be provided as needed.
Once you’re tired out, head back to your room for a nap or just some quiet time alone before dinner and the evening discussion.
All of these activities are included and most can be scheduled the morning of, as desired.
We want our immersion students not only to learn, grow and develop as riders, but to truly enjoy and have time for self reflection and relaxation.
Join ASR for a 5 day immersion and have the experience of a lifetime!
